League Make-up

Each team plays 2 games against teams in their division and 1 game against teams outside their division for a total of 14 games played.

The regular season is 14 weeks long. The playoffs and Super Tourn. are the last 3 weeks.

The roster size is 33 players in ALL leagues. There is no Injured Reserve spot

In the continuous leagues, the Six playoff teams keep 9, the Six Non-Playoff teams keep 10.

The pick order for the redraft will be based on team records through week 10. This will prevent teams from trying to "tank" to get a better pick position. If a team makes the playoffs, they will automatically pick between 7-12. The redraft is done by a daily pickup for 19 days during March of the following year.

Tanking

Losing on purpose or "Tanking" will not be permitted under ANY circumstances.

Negligence is not tanking. If someone is not paying attention and doesn't make lineup changes, it is not considered tanking.

If someone is caught blatantly tanking, they will be penalized and will not be able to change their lineup for the rest of the season.

It is up to the members of each league to monitor and alert the Commissioner of anyone trying to lose on purpose.

Draft

The Draft will consist of 33 rounds in which each team picks once per round.

The team that picks first in the 1st round, picks first in the 3rd, 5th, 7th, etc., and picks last in the 2nd, 4th, 6th, etc.

The draft order is determined by random envelope selection.

The Draft is conducted via call-in conference number. It takes roughly two hours. Online Drafting is coming for the 2024 season.

NOTE: There is no cost for the phone draft.

Player Positions

Each player only counts at one position for the entire season. These positions are determined before the draft.

Ray Lucas Rule: The Commissioner has the right to change a player's position in order to maintain the integrity of the league.

Wins and Losses

Over the course of the season you play 7 Home games and 7 Road games.

There is no home field advantage during the regular season.

Trades

Once two teams agree on the trade then each person must submit the trade to the Mr. Sports web site. If the trade is not identical it does not go through.

There is no trading limit. No cash or "player to be named later" trades will be allowed.

The Commish reviews trades on a daily basis.
If a trade is deemed fair, it will be PASSED immediately.
If a trade is deemed to be unfair, a trade will be VETOED and an email will be sent to the GM's of the teams and asked to make changes to the trade.
The Commish has the right to reverse a trade if it is found out collusion is involved OR there looks to be blatant dumping of players to give an unfair advantage to one team.

You MUST waive a player if your roster is going to exceed the 33 player limit.

If a player plays on a Thursday night and you have that player in your lineup as a starter or backup, that player in ineligible to be traded that week.

The Trade Deadline for 2024 is Thursday, November 14th before kickoff of the WAS @ PHI game.

Trading of Future Picks is allowed from Week 1 until the Trade Deadline if aboth teams have paid half of the league fee for the following season ($85 for Major League, $125 for Expert League)
Example: Both teams agree on a trade which involves a pick for next season. BOTH teams must pay half of the following season's league fee for the trade to be allowed, NO EXCEPTIONS! Should you choose to not retain your team next season, the fee will NOT be refunded.

Pickups / Free Agents

Each week, you are allowed to pick up THREE (3) players

Schedule of pickups are as follows:
RD 1: posted Thursday's at 10:30am EST (7:30am PST)
RD 2: posted Saturday at 10:30am EST (7:30am PST)
RD 3: posted Sunday at 1:00am EST (10:00pm PST)

For each round of pickups, if two teams want the same player, the team with the worst record gets him, with a tie breaker going to the team with the lowest average.

If a player is waived to complete a trade, that player is available to be picked up the same week.
If a player is waived in Round 1 or Round 2 of transactions, that player will be available the same week. If a player is waived in Round 3, that player will be available the following week.
If a player plays before a pickup date, that player is ineligible for pickup. For example: a player plays on Thursday night, that player is NOT eligible for pickup in Round 2 or Round 3.
If your team has a player that plays on Thursday night, that player is NOT eligible to be waived in Round 2 or Round 3.

Transactions can be made through the League Finals.
For keeper leagues, ALL teams are eligible to make pickups
For one-year leagues, ONLY playoff teams are eligible to make pickups

Playoffs

After 14 weeks of play, the top team in each division and the next three teams that did not win the divisions advances to the playoffs (Six total teams)

If two teams have the same record, the team with the higher scoring average advances. If still tied, then the team with the better head-to-head record, then the offensive average.

Week 15
The two teams with the best record AND won their division get byes.
The other four teams play one another seeded as:
Best record No. 1 seed and will play the playoff team with the worst record as the No. 4 seed.
The other two playoff teams will play one another as the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds.
The team with the best record and higher seed gets 1 point per difference in average before the week starts. In case of a tie, the team with the highest scoring contributing player wins. If still tied, second highest, etc.
A wild card team cannot have homefield over a divisional winner, even if they have the better record and average.

Week 16
The same rules apply for the semifinals of the playoffs.
If the team with the higher seed has the worst average, there is no advantage for either team.

Week 17
The same rules apply for the semifinals of the playoffs.
The two remaining teams play head-to-head with the highest scorer declared champion.
